Sponsorship Opportunities
The Teal Ridge Wetland will be constructed using two dikes. The first dike will define the perimeter
of the wetland. The second dike will dissect the wetland creating two wetland units (see map). It is anticipated that construction of the wetland units will be completed by December 1999.
Interpretive/educational/recreational components of the project will be completed in phases.
Phase I includes the development of a Wetland Loop Trail. The top of the dikes surrounding the
east wetland unit will be used for this trail. The surface of the dike will be planted to grass and maintenance of the trail
will include periodic mowing.
These features will be developed through sponsorship and fund-raising opportunities. Detailed descriptions
of each of these features are included for your review. The drawings and photographs found on the description pages are only
examples and do not necessarily represent the final product.
Monetary donations as well as donations of materials or services are tax-deductible. Donations
will be administered by the Payne County Conservation Foundation, a 501 C(3) organization and can be earmarked for specific
project features (i.e. benches, bat house, etc.). Features that are sponsored will include a display of the name and/or logo
of the sponsor.
By contributing to the Teal Ridge Wetland Project you can show your support for one of Oklahoma’s
greatest natural resources. Your generous donation will provide an area dedicated to providing quality wildlife habitat as
well as educational and recreational opportunities for generations to come. To become a sponsor or partner, contact:
