Located at Walnut Street and 19th Avenue in Stillwater,
Oklahoma, Teal Ridge Wetland is a 23 acre wetland demonstration site within the Stillwater Creek floodplain.
Project partners envision a demonstration site where the public can experience the wonders of a wetland. The wetland will
provide recreational and educational opportunities, quality wildlife habitat and floodplain management.
Restoration of the wetland is being administered by
the Natural Resources Conservation Service under the Wetland Reserve Program and partial funding is being provided by the Environmental Protection Agency. Use of the acreage was donated by a local developer/wildlife artist who has a strong interest in wetland
conservation.
Project cooperators are seeking new partners and resources to complete this project. By joining these sponsors you can show your support for Oklahoma's
wetland resources.
